SoilTain® is the best option when we face challenges of greater magnitude, as well as to solve problems of decontamination of lagoons, recovery of the capacity of reservoirs, drying of mining and industrial sludge, and water treatment. The SoilTain® sludge dewatering tubes are a containment system made from a woven geotextile specially developed to filter. It is used to dehydrate a wide variety of sludge types. The SoilTain® dehydration tube system is simple to install and requires very little maintenance. It can be used temporarily or permanently. To increase the capacity of the system you only need to add more tubes. The SoilTain® dehydration system is offered as an efficient and “environmentally friendly” alternative to traditional dehydration methods.
In addition to the high ultimate resistance that the geotextiles with which these geocontainers are manufactured, it must also be considered the size of the apparent pore opening, since their main function must be to contain the material with which they have to be filled.
On the other hand, when a hydraulic filling is considered necessary, it is also important to foresee in the design the flow rate that these geotextiles must have; since they must retain the solids but allow efficiently the flow of liquids to the outside.
The abrasion, the resistance to ultraviolet rays and vandalism problems are factors that should not be neglected at the design stage of solutions with these technologies.
