The carelessness of the Urban rainwater sewer system makes the sewage and sanitation system the only protective resourse against the excess rainfall and debris flow. This subsequently causes the appearance of factors that generate unhealthiness.
Green Cities is a concept that covers many products that ANDEX applies to the proper and sustainable development of a city. Within this context, we focus on water reuse and landscape improvement, thereby reducing the stress caused by inadequate urban planning; offering integral solutions that help optimize resources, such as water, energy and building areas
The Urban Line Systems allows a wide range of applications in building, civil works and landscaping, among others
Since the collection and sustainable management of water is part of many of the principles in LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, for its acronym in English), the use of the Urban Line Systems can award up to 12 points LEED.
Green Cities seeks to mitigate our carbon footprint. The modularity of the Urban Line Systems allow any type of configuration and sizing, which are made of recycled materials, lightweight, manageable and easy to install; Among its main applications are:
- Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS®)
- Vertical gardens
- Green ceilings
The WHO (World Health Organization) indicates that there should be 8 m2 of green area per inhabitant, however many cities in the region are far below that standard. The presence of vegetation in cities has a regulating effect on temperature and humidity. It also acts as an acoustic barrier: the floor blocks the low frequency sounds and the plants block the high frequency sounds. It is of great benefit for human health, since 1 m2 of green area generates the oxygen required by a person throughout the year. In addition, that m2 can trap 130 g of dust per year. The plants filter pollutants and CO2 from the air, and with the design quality that ANDEX offers, its aesthetic impact is enhanced.
SUSTAINABLE URBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEMS (SUDS®)
Reduce the vulnerability of our cities to extraordinary events.
Is the sub-drain that works harmoniously with the surrounding soil. In times of no rainfall, it captures the excess water in the soil and shares the surplus with it. While in the rainy seasons it leads the surpluses to the disposal points.
THE VERTICAL GARDENS AND GREEN CEILINGS
Además de cumplir una función estética y de regulación de las temperaturas, reducen la impermeabilización de los suelos que con el asfalto y el concreto hemos generado en nuestras ciudades.
TANQUES DRENANTES DRAINING TANKS
Serve as accumulators of surplus water for reuse, or support fire systems that usually fail due to the absence of this resource.
